This is the on-going fan fiction multi-book series cross-over between 1970s era Buck Rogers in the 25th Century (adapted by Glen A. Larson) and the original Battlestar Galactica series (created by Mr. Larson). The Armageddon Series is based on an original cross-over fanfic by Neil Adams.
The Armageddon Project (which is the creative effort behind the series) was created by Mike Clark, a huge fan of both BR and BSG:TOS. Mike's writing partner is Brian Chandler, also a long-time fan of both series. A word about the content of this series, how it should be rated / classified /etc.: Most typical broadcast television shows (that is, ones appearing on common cable or satellite t.v. channels) are designed around a ratings system, and the content they contain is also controlled to a degree by the timeslot they occupy and their intended audience. Both Buck Rogers in the 25th Century and "classic" Battlestar Galactica were aimed at young audiences and were structured for such. That's fine and wonderful, and clearly it has attracted the loyalty of many of us over the last twenty-plus years. Further, many other wonderful science fiction shows have been handled in a similar fashion. However, it's a compromise which we feel is somewhat artistically limiting, especially as it is the intent of this series to pull no punches in it's depiction of reality. And besides, this is not television, but rather a web site you had to make a specific effort to get to. It is not my intent to give away spoilers, and especially not on the introductory page of this site, but for those who feel some obligation to preview the content of this site for, say, minor children, let me try to explain it this way: Most of the content of this series is probably of a level acceptable for teenagers, and surely there are parts which might even be acceptable for pre-teens. However, if profanity or depictions of an intense or graphic nature are inappropriate as you define "inappropriate", then by all means go somewhere else. But do try and remember something: the real world contains plenty of examples of such base human nature, so choose wisely. Legal Disclaimer: Buck Rogers is the creation of Philip Francis Nowlan and Robert C. Dille of Leisure Concepts, adapted in the 1970s by Glen A. Larson. Armageddon: 2493 (which this series is based upon) is the property of Neil Adams. This is a non-profit homage to both of these original series, as well as Mr. Adams' series, and no claim of ownership, either express or implied, is made or intended with the production of this series.
